Incomparable heat resistance. Aluker® is the result of research carried out at Piazzetta laboratories, the goal being to create a firebox resistant to aggravated use, and in particular to deterioration caused by the forge effect (i.e. the concentrated intake of air to the burner and the resultant temperature increase). | After one and a half minutes exposure to the action of a hydroxide torch the cast iron panel is breached. | After five minutes exposure to the action of the same hydroxide torch the Aluker® panel still retains its characteristics. |

Crushproof and resistant to bending. Subjected to bending tests, Aluker®, though it is a ceramic material, demonstrated good mechanical resistance: only a sudden, violent blow succeeded in compromising its integrity. The sample panel (8x16x2cm) yelded under the impacte of a 100 kg force. | Improved combustion and heat diffusion. A further benefit of a firebox lined with Aluker® panels is its huge capacity for the storage and reflection of heat. The Aluker® panles capture the energy generated by the flame and, through a combination of heat storage and transfer, noticeably improve the quality of the combustion and drastically cut "dead periods" between one fuel load and the next. |
